HI 98140 and HI 98150 are some
of the most innovative portable pH meters ever offered. These instruments
feature IP 67 waterproof protection, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
capabilities and use the latest in electrode technology - Hanna’s new
“intelligent” electrodes. These pH electrodes incorporate a chip which
memorizes the calibration date and data performed with a specific
instrument. When the “intelligent” electrode is attached to the meter
again, it is automatically recognized. This new technology allows the
operator to optimize time and efficiency with unsurpassed safety. It
avoids erroneous measurements taken in the event the pH electrode is
substituted after calibration. This series of electrodes also incorporates
a temperature sensor, eliminating the need for an additional temperature
probe. In addition, HI 98140 and HI 98150 feature a dual
level backlit LCD which facilitates operation in dimly-lit locations.
Graphic symbols and messages on the LCD guide the user through measurement
procedures as well as the calibration. The pH range of the HI 98140
and HI 98150 has been extended from -4 to 19.99 pH and pH
calibration is automatic at one or two points with five memorized buffers
(pH 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18 and 10.01). These advanced meters also allow
the operator to set a calibration maximum validity time and will
automatically alert the user when recalibration is necessary. Access to
the GLP data is password protected for added safety. All pH measurements
are automatically compensated for the effects of temperature variations,
and a stability indicator on the display shows the operator when the pH
reading is stable. At the touch of a button, HI 98140 and HI
98150 can store up to 500 measurements, complete with date and time.
The log-on demand data can be immediately displayed on the LCD or
downloaded at a later date to a PC for graph analysis, troubleshooting and
compliance record keeping. HI 98140 and HI 98150 are each
supplied with HI 1618D intelligent electrode with built-in temp. sensor,
DIN, 1 m (3.3’) cable, 12VDC adapter, pH 4.01/7.01 buffer solutions,
cleaning sol., batteries, hard carrying case.
